A Contemporary Art Month Group Exhibit

Artists:  Laurel Gibson/Joshua Jennings; Laurie Brainerd/Marcia Dahlman; Nicole Geary/Tina Misite

Laurie Brainerd, an art quilter, plays with Marcia Dahlman, a potter who works a lot with raku.  Laurie's attraction to Maria's work was in large part due to Marcia's experience working with slabs that seems similar to a "slab" of quilt.

Laurel Gibson, an embroiderer, teams with Joshua Jennings, a painter, drawer, and digital artist.  They each started with a stack of napkins that they drew and embroidered on exploring themes of travel and internationalism.
 
Nicole Geary, a printmaker who frequently prints on fabric, collaborates with Tina Misite, a poet.  There work surrounds the design and literary element of Line.
